The One Habit That Quietly Changed My Life in 2025

Hey there,

Welcome to the first blog of 2026. I don’t believe it’s already seven years of me blogging here, talking to you!

This blog and you, my dear reader, have given me a lot. You’ve given me the identity of a writer which I’ve always dreamt of as a child. I just want to take this moment to thank you for staying here with me for all these years.

I’ve been pondering on today’s blog topic since we entered into 2026. But only after 12 days, I could finally sit down peacefully to write this piece and tell you about that one habit that changed my life.

No, I wasn’t busy with life, I was actually busy doing what I truly love. I’ve been journalling a lot, manifesting a lot, creating a bunch of content every single day and being consistent at doing what I love. I think that’s what that matters, right?

But when finally, I wanted some silence and a safe space to contemplate, I turned to you, my dear reader – my confidant.

Well, 2025 has been a year to remember.

Until 2024, I was a vulnerable person. I expressed almost anything and everything in front of people. I had literally stopped thinking twice before talking my feelings out.

But slowly I realised sharing your problems with everybody won’t help you solve your problems. That’s when, in 2025, I started contemplating on my daily habits. I started noticing my reactions to everybody else’s actions.

Our reaction to each action is a quiet mirror of our inner world. It reveals our fears, our conditioning, our unhealed wounds, and sometimes, our growth. When I began paying attention, I realised that most of my reactions were automatic — shaped by habit, not awareness.

Slowly, contemplation replaced complaint. Observation replaced blame. And in that silence, I started understanding myself better than I ever had before.

The root cause of all my problems was my own reactions. I had been taking everything a lot too seriously — people’s opinions, their expectations, their silence, and even things that were never meant to be personal. I was reacting instead of responding, absorbing emotions that were not mine to carry.

Once I realised this, something shifted. I began choosing calm over chaos, awareness over impulse. Not every comment deserved a response, and not every situation deserved my energy. That realisation itself became a form of healing.

So, that was that. I started ignoring the noise around me and loved myself a little more in 2025. Instead of reacting to the unwanted happenings around me, I made sure I did more of what I loved doing the most.

And this habit changed my life forever now. I feel much lighter and happier. The heaviness that I once felt about everything has vanished now.

Just wanted to share this with you as we start with a new year. Also, I’ll be coming back to you more in 2026.

See you, soon. Until then take care and have a wonderful year ahead.

  1. As usual connecting with ur thought. I am on same track and I think that’s what maturity is. Learning to ignore things which drain our energy. Accepting and appreciating ourselves as we are with all flaws.

    1. That’s great!! Let’s continue the same in 2026 and make it the best year yet
