Day 1 Of Blog Marathon | FOMO

day-1-blog-marathon-fomo

Hi there,

How are you doing? Hope you are having enough water and keeping yourself hydrated. Hang in there; the summers are soon going to go away.

Lately, there have been a lot of things on my mind. After the launch of my new book, I’m constantly thinking of different ideas to make the book reach a broader reader base. My Brave Lady is a wake-up call to all of us who believe we have a lot of time to express our feelings to our loved ones.

It’s a book with many layers of emotions and keeps you engaged and curious till its last page.

As a writer, it’s my primary responsibility to make my book reach its authentic reader base. Hence, I’ve been completely tied up with the activities related to the book’s promotion.

I’m making reels daily because they say they have great reach.

I have a 9 to 6 job that I cannot compromise on as there are bills to be paid.

Now that I’m married, I cook breakfast and dinner for a family of five. Lunch is taken care of by my mother-in-law.

On and off, I make little illustrations in my art journal.

I find time for reading.

…and watch my favourite shows in the bathroom while I take a bath to utilize time. I know that’s crazy, but I cannot afford to waste time on screen as there’s already a lot on my plate.

The other day, I talked to my best friend on the phone, and I happened to blabber out a lot. I cribbed about how the 24 hours feel less for a day and how many things I’ve got to do.

She laughed and said, “You’ve got FOMO – fear of missing out”.

After a long introspection, I felt she was right. I’m being too ambitious these days, making me anxious by the minute.

I cannot concentrate on one thing, and I think that’s not a good sign. That’s when I decided to do something that soothes me. Write. Write every single day. And if you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know how I overcome by writing backlog.

I’ve started this blog marathon to help me calm down a bit and connect with my dear readers regularly. I will be writing one blog every day for the next 30 days. I’ll write about my work, my book, give you some book recommendations, updates on my new book, and everything I feel like sharing with you.

Last night, I binge-watched season 2 of the top-rated web series – Panchayat. It had an unexpected end and took a toll on my sleep. I will be sharing my take on the show in my upcoming blogs.

Stay tuned!

And I hope we’ll soon be free from the scorching heat!

See you tomorrow with a new blog.

P.S. Do buy my new book here and be assured of a nice read.

Sharing is caring!
