How are you doing? Are you bored of staying indoors, all day long? I understand, though you are working from home or attending online classes, it becomes quite boring at times.
Also, it’s been over six months since the coronavirus entered our lives and is still hanging over our head and we don’t know when it’ll go away from our lives.
With this uncertainty, it’s really important to have someone to talk within these difficult times, isn’t it? And you know what, God sends the right person in your life just at the right time.
He sent a good old friend of mine back into my life and I call him “my lockdown friend”.
I still remember the day when we met at a restaurant just before the lockdown was announced. It was a last-minute meet which was planned in less than 15 minutes.
Sometimes such quick plans turn out to be the best ones.
We had met after a long time and so exchanged our life updates which otherwise was a task in our hectic schedules.
This meet of ours marked the new era of our friendship as it continued from day one of the lockdown and has only flourished over the countless days of lockdown.
My lockdown friend and I have been talking and texting each other every single day. We’ve been checking up on each other every now and then. While chatting for hours with your close friends was a luxury in the busy days, it’s now possible because of the lockdown.
I think this is the positive side of the lockdown.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know how difficult it was for me when my parents were tested positive for corona. (You can read my experience in this ebook).
I have mentioned in Home Quarantined that books have kept me calm and composed in my tough days. But this lockdown friend of mine has helped me smile, laugh and be myself every time life came up with a new problem.
Thanking him in any way is just not possible as his support and backing are beyond just a mere thanks.
A few days back I had written an Instagram post on “the lockdown friend”. I’m sure you can relate to the same. Here’s the link to the post.
Have you also made a lockdown friend? How did he/she help you in these tough times? Or rather is still helping?
I would love to know about your lockdown friend. Feel free to share it in the comment section below or you can reply to this email.
I’ll be waiting eagerly for your stories. Also, if you liked this blog, do share it with your lockdown friend/friends.
